I’m Hussain, a software engineering intern at Innosoft, completing my final stage in Computer Information Systems at King Faisal University.
What draws me to software engineering is turning requirements into systems that actually run in production, which takes understanding the problem, quality in the build, and attention to detail.
At Innosoft I work on existing systems and platforms for government and private-sector clients. I help understand client requirements and turn them into practical solutions, build new features for applications and systems, connect different systems and services, analyse problems and fix production faults, and verify solutions before they are released.
I have also worked on integrations with external bodies, including the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), and built features for mobile apps using Flutter. I take part in reviewing projects for quality and security, identifying risks and fixing security issues, and making sure solutions follow software engineering practice and quality standards. I also work on understanding the development and release cycle, from testing on test environments to verifying that a release is ready.
Before Innosoft, I built full systems in different fields, from education and retail to automotive and healthcare. One of my main works is the KFU Cybersecurity Club portal, which supports two languages, multiple permission levels and complete management of events and users. I also lead the club’s technology committee, where I built solutions that improved a number of internal processes, and with my team I won first place at Autothon 2026 with the RootVision AI project.
